The 2nd Eastern Economic Forum has finished in Vladivostok, it brought together 3,500 participants. Foreign participants represented 56 countries. The most numerous delegations were from Japan, China, the Republic of Korea.  

This year Forum was attended by 978 representatives of Russian and foreign business, including 207 heads of Russian companies. It was broadcasted by journalists from 18 foreign countries. This year during the forum Primorsky region concluded 59 agreements. The agreement with the highest investment is between the Fund of the development of the Far East and "National Chemical Group" on construction of a complex for the production of mineral fertilizers in Primorsky region, this project requires investments in amount 370.5 billion rubles.

New Development Bank is considering the possibility of financing infrastructure projects in Primorsky region.

The agreement with Rostelecom will provide the remote areas of Primorsky region with broadband Internet.

Japan National Oil, Gas and Metal Corporation considers the possibility of the exploitation of coal deposits in Primorsky region.

The agreement with the "Russian Capital" bank covers the opening of its branch in Primorsky region and strategic partnerships. The amount of the proposed bank's participation in solving problems of social and economic development of Primorsky Territory will be 10 billion rubles.

All these agreements are the result of the 2nd Eastern Economic Forum. 

During this year forum all entrepreneurs introduced clear business plans on production development in Primosrksky region to foreign investors.

For example, Primorsky region sugar industry developers successfully introduced their business plan to Chinese bankers. They believe that they can stop using cane during sugar production and replace it with beets. But it is necessary to completely renovate the factory equipment to realize this plan. Chinese businessmen got interested in this project.

Denis Tikhonov, General Director "Development Corporation of the Far East" says: "Today we have 92 resident in the free port. And have more than 120 applications for residence. And, of course,  Eastern Economic Forum  attracts the attention of new residents to a free port. "

One of the main discussion topics of the Second East Economic Forum was the development and prospects of the Free Port. But even before the beginning of the forum, the problems of effective realization of Freeport benefits and preferences have been identified on the President's meeting with major investors that work in Russian Far East.
