In the course of carrying out laboratory tests of samples taken from a batch of meatballs from a large Primorye producer, the Primorsky Interregional Veterinary Laboratory of the Rosselkhoznadzor Directorate identified dangerous listeria bacteria.

Samples were taken by the State Inspector of the Rosselkhoznadzor in December 2018 in one of the stores in Nakhodka.

Information has been communicated to the manufacturer and at the sampling site to prevent the sale of unsafe products.

Experts will send an information letter on the fact of identifying products that do not meet the requirements of technical regulations to the Federal Accreditation Service to withdraw a declaration for serial production.

Listeria is the causative agent of the deadly disease of human listeriosis.
