“As a rule, new strains are introduced for each season - one, two, rarely, but also three. We have a trivalent vaccine in the country. This year, two new variants of the virus. Every year in Russia the number of people vaccinated against the flu increases by 5-7%. Last year, they stepped over 50%, which is a very good result, which allowed us to survive the entire epidemic season calmly, ”says Popova.

Meanwhile, China has recorded a case of H5N6 deadly bird flu infection. The fact of infection is recorded in the southern province of Guangdong. The victim fell 22-year-old Chinese. He was hospitalized at the end of September, and the patient is still in serious condition. It is known that before the onset of symptoms, the man had contact with live poultry.
