The Steklyannaya Bay can disappear from the face of the Earth.

The Steklyannaya bay will become a memory soon. Sand-polished transparent sand will turn into the sand.

Foreign tourists have discovered the unusual place not long ago. And they not only visit the beach, but take away the glass as souvenirs.

Even National Geographic ,one of the main magazines of the world, wrote about "wild" tourism. "Victim of popularity: the tragedy of the Steklyannaya Bay" – the heading of the material. The tragedy in the Bay is known as looting .

Though the exclusive seaside beach grew out of the waste storage, the creation of the sea still fascinates visitors. (Rubbish was brought to the nearest bay from Kiparisovsky glass- and porcelain-factories, as well as garbage from all over Vladivostok)

But polished glass does not appeal to Russians. There is a special warning at the entrance of the bay. But now it should be duplicated in Chinese because of flows of foreign tourists.

Local environmentalists don’t see any problems in the situation. They say that over the years the Steklyannaya Bay will have only a name even without guests from China. Because glass will turn into sand in 20-30 years.

To prevent the acceleration of the natural process, the South China Morning Post published an article with information that Chinese diplomats forbade compatriots to take away the glass pebbles.
