Based on the results of this work, a new gas-oil field "Pobeda" was discovered in the Kara Sea.

We decided to leave in memory of the glorious past. Since 1975, the diesel icebreaker worked in the Far East. This ship project is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the most powerful in the world.
Vladimir Baranov, the captain of the icebreaker Admiral Makarov, said: "We can quite compete with atomic icebreakers working on small precipitation, because, to the extent and to my satisfaction, I have worked the basic career in the nuclear fleet - I do not feel a particular difference."
In Murmansk, the icebreaker came from the port of Pevek, where he was on duty for several months. For the first time he carried out an experimental flight. The work for diesel icebreakers is complex. Conducted ships along the Yenisei River. The depth under the keel was minimal - just a meter. But the task was fulfilled.
Senior assistant to the captain of the icebreaker "Admiral Makarov" Dmitry Kostyaev: "Fresh ice is a completely different one, not like the sea ice, and we, as it were, worked somewhere at the maximum power."
