The results of EEF-2021: public transport modernisation, Minnyy Gorodok revival, new martial arts center
The VI Eastern Economic Forum ended last weekend in Vladivostok. This time, the central theme of the international event was the exploration of new opportunities of the Far East in a changing world. During the three days of work, more than 70 business events were held and more than one hundred agreements were concluded.
The revival of Minnyy Gorodok park
In order to implement the project to develop the Minnyy Gorodok Park on the first day of the EEF Vladivostok’s administration signed a quadripartite agreement with the Ministry of the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, VEB.RF and InfraVEB. As part of the cooperation, the parties will work with potential concessionaires, calculate the commercial payback of the park reconstruction project, as well as work out the issues of attracting potential tenants and other commercial users of the park.
The development of digital services
The agreement, aimed at solving social and economic problems, supporting the system of cashless payments, further development of the financial sector and digital services and infrastructure was signed by the head of Vladivostok Konstantin Shestakov and chairman of the Far Eastern Bank of Sberbank Andrey Cherkashin.
The modernisation of public transport
Reconstruction and construction of public transport infrastructure, renewal of the bus fleet, creation of a single operator and an intelligent transport system (ITS), development of cashless payment - all these points are included in the cooperation agreement on integrated development of public transport systems in Vladivostok.
Martial arts center in Snegovaya pad
The project of a large sports complex includes a martial arts center where it will be possible to practice judo, aikido, wushu, kyokusunkai, Thai boxing, sambo and many other martial arts, two arenas for tournaments, modern thematic gyms, swimming pool, wellness center and sports massage rooms. In front of the palace there will be a park area in the Japanese style.
The head of Vladivostok mentioned that there were no sports facilities in the Snegovoaya Pad neighbourhood, so the new sports complex would be a great gift for its residents.
