Topic: the most promising directions of development of educational system of Primorsky region.

Primorsky region is one of the first regions in the country where the federal program for supporting gifted children will be implemented. The decision was made after Governor's personal visit to the "Sirius" educational center.

Agreement on cooperation between the "Sirius" and Administration  of Primorsky region will not only increase the number of children who will be able to discover their talents, but also significantly improve teachers’ qualification.

The second Regional Championship of Young Skilled Specialists – World Skills Russia was held in Vladivostok. This championship is also a new impetus for creativity and development. For three days young professionals in several areas competed in welding, cooking, electric engineering, showed their ability in teaching, medical care, plastering, bricks laying and farm machinery operating.   

In addition, Vladimir Miklushevsky instructed the Department of Education and Science of the Primorsky region to improve the system of tracking of gifted children’s progress and assist them with all phases.

Now the system of support of gifted children in the region includes academic competitions, sports activities, research programs and financial assistance.

As the President of Russia Vladimir Putin pointed out, about 40 science parks for children will be created in the country in the near future. One of them will be opened on the basis of All-Russian Children Center "Ocean" this summer.

Science park on the basis of “Ocean” center will include center of virtual reality, children's center of science and engineering. Teachers of Primorsky region will also have an opportunity to improve their qualification there. All classes will be for free.
