More than 1.6 thousand tons of sea cucumber has been produced in Primorsky region in 2016.
Aquaculture farms of Primorsky region have increased the volume of grown sea cucumber by 41%.
According to the deputy manager of the Regional Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Biological Resources, Sergei Nastavshev, at present there are 27 aquaculture enterprises that grow sea cucumbers on the territory of Primorsky region.
"About 1 607 tons of sea cucumber has been grown in 2016, which is 41% more than in 2015", - he said.
It should be noted, that within the framework of the regional state program on development of fishery industry, aquaculture enterprises of Primorsky region will get subsidies in amount of 21,6 million rubles in 2017. These funds are aimed at juveniles’ dispersion, leasing and purchasing of equipment.
