Tactical trainings are held in the protected areas of the Khasansky district. The task is to detect and detain group of poachers who came to the lands of the national park to pick up valuable wild plants and, perhaps, to kill Red Book leopard. In China it is a cruel business.
Joint exercises of border guards and "Green Patrol" National Park are held for the first time. The western part of the reserved leopard land is the state frontier, and poachers also come here. Most often they are looking for ginseng and other endemics of taiga.
The fighting skill was practice in real conditions: along rivers and on the slopes of hills, along animal tracks. According to the task, a group of experienced poachers, this time it was the employees of the national park, set up a camp near the border.
The operation lasted for several hours. The service dog helped to take the trail, after which the violators of the protected land regime no longer had a chance to escape.
By the way, three years ago, the guards saved the leopard with the 80 serial number. He lost three fingers because of the poacher's trap. Veterinarians cured the unfortunate, but with such an injury he could no longer return to the forest. In gratitude for the rescue, the border guards presented the right to name the spotted. Now Leopard Nikolai lives in the Moscow Zoo, but at the same time participates in the international program for the protecting Primorye leopard.
