Released after rehabilitation tigers Pavlik and Elena began to develop forests in the Amur region

The world of predators in the Amur region have joined the rare Amur tigers Pavlik and Helena from the rehabilitation center of tigers in Primorye, on Thursday they were released from a temporary enclosure in the wild, reports "News: Primorye" with reference to "Interfax-far East".

"A kind of "gate" they opened remotely, being at a distance of 150 meters from the aviary. Now tigers on the loose, but to track their progress we will be able only when the signal will come from the collars. The coordinates they send once a day, at night we will know", - said the General Director of the center "Tiger" Sergey Aramilev.

Once the battery in the collar is discharged, it will automatically detach, and to monitor the movement of tigers will be possible only in the footsteps or through photo traps.

As planned, the tigers were released in the area of the Mutnaya river (left tributary of the Amur) near the border with the Jewish Autonomous region. Before that, they had adapted to the new environment in the enclosure installed in the place of release for more than a week.

"In the enclosure of 0.3-0.4 hectares they were from may 14. We left them the raisins, live rabbits and did not come to the aviary all the time. Of water they left in addition to drinkers enough, the weather was rainy," - said Aramilev.

As reported, the cubs Pavlik and Elena in February 2018 were removed from the wild with his mother, who hunted dogs in the village of Alex-Nikolskoye. The cubs were 6-7 months old at that time.

Subsequently, the mother tiger was sent to one of the zoos of the Krasnoyarsk territory for permanent residence by the decision of Rosprirodnadzor. She was recognized as potentially dangerous to humans.
