Agency of human capital development of the Far East has finished accepting competition projects on the use of “Far Eastern hectares." More than 500 people have participated in this competition, each participant has own point of view on ways of “Far Eastern hectares" development. Some people offer creation of traditional agricultural zone, others are more ambitious and offer construction of solar power plants.

Far East Development Ministry informed, that the most common project on the use of “Far Eastern hectares" is creation of agricultural zone. Each third project is related to crop production, and each fifth is about food production. Many offers are about building recreation center.

The most daring ideas of  "Far Eastern hectares" usage are ecological hotel in Kamchatka region, usage of the underground glaciers as ice storage rooms, cultivation of shellfishes and willow herbs and building of  solar power plant.

Inhabitants of Yakutia, Kamchatka and Primorsky territory showed the biggest activity, third part of all projects came from them. As to the central part of the country, habitants of Kuban and vicinities of Moscow offered most of projects.

Competition results will be announced on 10th of August. The authors of five best projects will have an opportunity to go to Eastern Economic Forum, that will be held in Vladivostok on September, 2-3, to present their ideas in person.

It is planned that this year Eastern Economic Forum will have more than 2.4 thousands of participants, among which will be delegations from China, Japan, South Korea, India, Vietnam, Australia, USA, Singapore. This year forum has three major thematic blocks: "The opportunities for investors," "preferences for investors" and "Development of the Far East - the benefits and new opportunities for the Asia-Pacific region." The key project for discussion will be creation of energetic ring between Russia, China, Japan, Republic of Korea and Mongolia.
