Bathyscaphe to be built in Russia to sink to the bottom of the Mariana Trench
As the general director of USC, Alexei Rakhmanov, said, there is currently a search for equipment and components, from which the creation of the bathyscaphe will occur. But first it is necessary to form an extended technical task. Next, the experts will make a technical draft design, after which investors will be attracted for additional funding.
Suppliers for all the necessary will not only from Russia, but also from abroad.
The fact that an expedition to the bottom of the Mariana Trench is planned is announced in the spring of this year by the well-known Russian traveler Fyodor Konyukhov. It is he who plans to dive into the bathyscaphe at the bottom of the depression, along with the equally famous polar explorer Arthur Chilingarov.
The researchers plan to take the soil from the bottom of the depression, which scientists will study, writes Interfax.
