From Busan to Saint-Peterburg: Vladivostok open new cargo route
Transport group FESCO and Korean company Hyundai GlovisCo. Ltd. signed an agreement about the opening regular container service from the port of Busan to St. Petersburg with the transshipment of cargo in Vladivostok. In 10 days the goods will be delivered to Vladivostok. This is the Far East the fastest way of cargo transportation.
Earlier cargo from the Republic of Korea was going along the Suez Canal route by passing Russia, it is almost three times longer than the way through the sea. A new transit line will also help to develop cargo transportation from Korea to Europe.
Jang Hong Kim, general director of the logistics company, Republic of Korea: "Today is very important, because our company for the first time open a high-speed rail train and connects the West and the Far East."
Vladivostok commercial port is a transshipment base and a bridge connecting the East and the West. From the port of Busan containers will be delivered to Primorye by sea. From Vladivostok - along the Trans-Siberian Railway to St. Petersburg.

Transportation of Busan-Vladivostok-St. Petersburg will become regular. They planned it to be every month about 500 containers. It will send to St. Peterburg.
Dmitry Bratynenko, vice-governor of Primorsky Krai: "Between Primorsky Krai and the Republic of Korea we have close ties in terms of business development. About 60 Korean companies are working in the Primorsky Region. In 2017, we increased the trade with the Republic of Korea by sum more than a billion dollars."
The leaders of the two companies signed an agreement on cooperation and, possibly, a new route will soon be open for Korean enterprises.
