The border guard ship departed from Vladivostok to the South Korean port of Busan to participate in the Coast Guard Forum, held with the participation of the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, the press group of the Russian Federal Security Service's border guard department said on Tuesday.

"The Coast Guard patrol ship Komandor of the Coast Guard of the Frontier Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Primorsky Territory went to the South Korean port of Busan to participate in the events of the Coast Guard Forum of the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, which will be attended by delegations from six countries: the Russian Federation, States of America, the People's Republic of China, the Republic of Korea, Japan and Canada, "the report said.

International tactical exercises will be held on June 6. They will involve ships and aviation of coastal guards of the participating countries. The main purpose of the maneuvers will be the development of cooperation in the search for and detection of the vessel that has given the ship's alert signal. Also, the suppression of the terrorist act and the rescue of the vessel and the crew in distress will be practiced.
