"Team Tarasenko" was held in the column "Immortal Regiment"
Acting Governor of Primorye Andrey Tarasenko and vice-governors of the region took part in the march of the Immortal Regiment on Victory Day on May 9.
In the family of Andrey Tarasenko, the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War is carefully preserved. The grandfather of the head of Maritime Territory Nikolai Ivanovich Tarasenko was born in 1911 and was an orphan early. Having selected a difficult profession for himself, before the war, Nikolai Ivanovich worked as a miner in the Donbass, and later graduated from driving courses, which predetermined his combat path.
"Grandfather came to the front in 1941, served in the First Ukrainian Front as a driver, drove shells, provided troops with ammunition. Shortly before the end of the war, he fell under bombardment and received a concussion, but returned from the front alive, "said Andrei Tarasenko. The vice-governor emphasized that the Great Patriotic War is a tragedy of the entire Russian people and of each Russian family separately.
"It is a sacred duty of each of us to keep the memory of people who have won peace for us and do everything possible to prevent this from happening again," Andrei Tarasenko said.
The grandfather of the wife of the acting Governor, Svetlana Tarasenko, Ivan Yakovlevich Solovyov worked as a director of a rural school before the war. During the Great Patriotic War, Ivan Yakovlevich was surrounded, seriously injured and decommissioned from military service. But despite this, again asked to the front and fought in the 200th Infantry Division on the 2nd Baltic front. He was killed in August 1944, buried in a mass grave in the Baltic States.
