The crews of the Su-35S and MiG-31BM fighters in the Primorye sky carried out a complex of various elements of combat training. Particular attention was paid to the technique of piloting with the use of offensive and defensive maneuvers at different heights and speeds. Training flights passed over the water area of Peter the Great Bay and over the Amur Bay.

According to "Vesti: Primorye" referring to TASS, the crews of the Su-35S in turn trained to search, detect and destroy "enemy" aircraft, in the role of which the high-altitude interceptors MiG-31BM were performing. During the flights, the pilots worked off maneuvering elements with large angles of roll and pitch, conducted air battles at the limit parameters of the sighting complex and worked out the landing approach at night. In total during the flight shift the pilots carried out about 20 sorties.
