Face recognition cameras are being installed in Vladivostok’s city center
On January 30th the citizens of Vladivostok noticed that cameras are being installed in the city center. The equipment is being placed on the face level that is perfect for face recognition. The same cameras also have videoanalytics system that is capable of recognising sex and age of a person.
Apparently, these cameras work on a similar principle as the ones installed by the Directorate of Public Spaces in Vladivostok in the new squares of the city: intelligent video surveillance system is able to count the number of visitors in the square, recognise sex, age and emotions of the person.
