The typhon has completely changed a unique sight of Primorye
Hurricane winds that have hit the Primorsky Territory in recent days have completely changed the appearance of some areas on the Primorye’s coast. It is possible that after a while, nature itself will restore its usual landscapes there. However, on the map of Primorsky Krai there are areas where the catastrophic consequences of typhoons persist to this day. These are remote areas in the Sikhote-Alin Biosphere Reserve, which have changed dramatically after 2016’s typhoon Lionrock.
When scientists studied soil sections in these places, they found that there have been no natural disasters of this magnitude, which occurred in just one night in 2016, on the territory of the Sikhote-Alin Nature Reserve for 800 years!
