The most powerful nuclear-powered icebreaker in the world is being constructed on «Zvezda» plant
On June 6th the construction of the most powerful nuclear-powered icebreaker in the world started on Bolshoi Kamen’s «Zvezda» factory. The unique vessel should make the all-year-round voyages in the Northeast passage possible.
210 metres in length and 50 metres in width - the new icebreaker will be leading vessels all-year-around in the North. This is the first ever project of this type in the history of shipbuilding.
