The ultra powerful nuclear-powered icebreaker is being constructed in Primorye
The construction of the biggest ever ultra powerful nuclear-powered icebreaker started in Bolshoi Kamen, Primorye on July 6th. The icebreaker’s specifier is «Rosatom» corporation and the vessel is being constructed by «Atomflot» and «Zvezda» plants. The vessel was named «Rossiya» and is planned to be finished by 2027.
The unique nuclear-powered icebreaker has unique technical characteristics allowing the vessel to operate all-year-round voyages in the eastern region of the Artics.
