Grass harvesting is in process on the hayfield of Novolitovsky agricultural cooperative. The grass is being prepared for the winter season, but some part of it is being given to the cows right away.

Italian baler is used during harvesting. It gently collects grass clippings and in the result we can see cylinder rolls of hey.

Fermentation is already in process in silo pits. Corn kernel and corn oil cakes are being oxidized by use of special bacteria, converting sugars into lactic acid. As a result - fragrant and healthful ensilage.

Nikolay Lemeshevsky, chairman of agricultural cooperative "Novolitovsky": "We were really worried, that after two typhoons, we could stay without  feed reserves. But at present we have already managed to harvest 5,000 tons of good corn silage, plus we have a stock of summer grasses, which is one  thousand tons. That is enough for the winter season, we can even help flooded  areas, that didn’t get a chance to harvest. At present, we are ready to sell two thousand tons of feed reserves during the winter, for example to Milogradovo village, this way they will be able to save their cattle. "

According to Nikolay Lemeshevsky’s predictions, we will get about 6-7 tons of kernel from each hectare.

Silage harvesting is being actively conducted in the end of September on the territory of Novolitovsky agricultural cooperative.

All this is being done for feeding of milking herd. Dairy farm is completely mechanical.

Modern farm has milk pipeline.  Milk flows straight to the refrigerator, where its temperature is being cooled in half immediately. All the way, milk is not getting in contact with the air or any bacteria.  From the fridge it goes straight to the production. "
