«Whale prison» has no more prisoners
The operation of setting sea mammals free in the wild has ended in Primorye. All of the whales were set free in Uspeniya Lazovskogo bay in Primorye.
The scientific works on releasing the animals were held by the All-Russian Institute of oceanography on commission of the President and the Gouvernement of Russia.
In spring of 2019, the scientists examined the animals in order to see their physical state as well as the conditions they were held in. Also the scientists worked on the release program for the mammals.
The last release was successfully effectuated on November 10. All of the animals that were held in Sredniya bay have been set free to the wild.
