The oldest shopping centre of Vladivostok celebrates its 85th anniversary
During the summer of 34, a State universal shop opened on Svetlanskaya str. and became one of the oldest and most beautiful building of the Far East.
Vladivostok’s GUM was opened 85 years ago in the magnificent building of the legendary “Kunst and Alberts”. Moreover, this architectural masterpiece will turn 113 this year.
GUM’s staff was considered elite. In the Soviet Union, there were only eight GUMs, and Vladivostok’s one always was in the top-three.
