A regatta for the trophy commander of the Pacific Fleet commenced in Vladivostok
A regatta started in Vladivostok, the participants of which compete for the passing cup of the commander of the Pacific Fleet.
Teams from Primorye, Komsomolsk-on-Amur and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky participate in the competition.
Today cadets celebrate their professional holiday - 288 years since the founding of the Pacific Fleet.
The distance is one mile, 1.600 meters, must be overcome in no less than 30 minutes. The judges pay special attention to rowing equipment. Here, as in the fleet, one cannot do without the ability to work in a team. To take the main prize, the whole team must act together.
Sailing, rowing, cruising and combined. Competitions are held immediately in several starts. 15 teams challenge the cup commander of the Pacific Fleet. In addition to Primorye, participants from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Komsomolsk-on-Amur.
Winners will be called on 28th of May. But for the rowers, this is only the beginning. Now the teams are preparing for the Far Eastern Regatta. It will be held in Vladivostok in September.
