The famous traveler Fedor Konyukhov wants to establish Monument to St. Nicholas in Primorye
The well-known traveler, honorary resident of Nakhodka, Fedor Konyukhov, wants to erect a monument at the tip of Astafyev’s cape so that the figure of the saint, the patron saint of navigators, can be seen from different points, including at the entrance to Nakhodka Bay.
The sculptural image of St. Nicholas was created by the icon, written by Fyodor Konyukhov.
The monument is a figure of St. Nicholas in a boat, on the side of which a sea wave is beating.
In the right hand of the saint - Cape Horn, and in the left - a sailboat.
The head of the city supported the initiative of a famous traveler, with whom he has been friends for over 40 years.
The idea of Fyodor Konyukhov for the installation of the monument to Nicholas the Wonderworker is expected to be implemented after his return from the next trip.
Konyukhov is now in New Zealand, from where he plans to begin his new world tour.
The journey will take place in three stages.
It is assumed that after the world tour Fedor Konyukhov will be able to realize his idea and begin the installation of monuments in different cities of the country.
