Primorye beekeepers plan to increase honey exports
Honey producers and exporters discussed the development prospects of the industry at a meeting with the leadership of the Export Development Center of Primorsky Krai. It was about the need to develop a strategy for the development of beekeeping, the creation of a joint sales and export company, as well as a specialized laboratory for conducting analysis of honey images according to international standards. In addition, beekeepers supported the decision to ban linden cutting in the region. In their opinion, in the complex, these measures will allow a multiple increase in the export of honey in the next ten years - from 1.5 to 500 million dollars.
Currently, the initiative group is already working on creating a strategy for the development of beekeeping, and by the end of the year plans to submit this document to the Export Council, which is chaired by the Governor of Primorsky Krai.
