Nakhodka customs officers register 3,6 tons of young scallops arrived from China to Primorye.

This is the first time when the young hydrobionts were imported to the Far East as part of an investment project to develop aquaculture farming facilities.

The addressee of the scallop is a resident of the free port of Vladivostok LLC “Sea Aquaculture HE XIANG”.

For the "Marine Aquaculture HE XIANG" company and Nakhodka custom this is the first experience of importing young hydrobionts.

Now the scallop is planted in the fish-breeding area in the Moryak-Ribolov Bay the Olginsky district of Primorsky Region. Now it is in quarantine. There it should be acclimated under supervision of the employees of Institute of Biology and the Sea of the Far East office of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The first harvest is planned to be collected in 2020. The implementation of this project became possible after the company received the status of a resident of the free port of Vladivostok.

Soon "Marine Aquaculture HE XIANG" company plans to import more young scallops in Primorye.
