Students from Vladivostok took first place in the world's largest underwater robotics competition
Students from Vladivostok took first place in the international underwater robotics competitions.
The Center for Robotics Development in Vladivostok has been working on this machine for two years. They were still preparing for the 2020 competition but it was cancelled because of the coronavirus. The team composition was changing. Three people finished their work and became participants and winners in 2021: Andrei Grishchenko, Ivan Besedin and Tikhon Ipatov.
The robot can perform the same tasks as machines that work in real conditions, though in a somewhat simplified version.
This competition is an unofficial world championship in underwater robotics. Robot creators from Vladivostok have been participating in it since 2015. And for five years they have been showing better and better results.
