American diplomats will leave Vladivostok
The American consulate will be closed in Vladivostok and the one in Ekaterinburg will temporarily put its work on hold.
Earlier Associated Press has stated that the Department of State decided to stop the work of the two remaining American consulates in Russia.
« State secretary Mike Pompeo together with the American ambassador in Russia John Sullivan decided to close the general consulate of the USA in Vladivostok and stop the work of the general consulate in Ekaterinburg as a part of our continuing efforts to ensure the safety of U.S. Embassy’s operations in the Russian Federation» - mentioned the representative of the diplomatic service.
