The possible period of the end of the pandemic was named
According to the head of the laboratory of the Institute of molecular genetics of the Russian academy of sciences Kostantin Severinov it will be possible to stop the spreading of coronavirus in the next twelve months when the vaccines will be available.
«The speed with which the vaccines are being developed allows to produce enough of them in a short period of time» - said the scientist in his interview for «Parlamentskaya gazeta».
«Out of 7,8 billion people on Earth only 26 million got infected and the biggest part of those people has already recovered from the disease. It seems that the vaccine will stop the infection but there will be no direct cure for it. Hopefully, it will happen during this year» - mentioned Severinov.
