In the Artem urban district the movement “Ready for Labor and Defense!” is becoming more and more popular. About 100 children from 11 to 14 years old took part in the summer festival.

Guys from sports schools and sections gathered at the Artem "Ugolschik" stadium to show the high results. The festival showed the level of preparation of children, gave them the opportunity to assess their own skills.

On this days guys passed over the third and fourth competition: push-ups, running, jumping, press test, swimming. All the results will register in a single base Civil Defence. Each of the guys set a goal to get the coveted sign.

Today we can say that students from the Artyom district show high rates in the regional festival. In addition Artem adults also took a part in the Civil Defence. Last year about 800 people checked their strength.

This time the winners are "Temp" and "Phoenix" sports schools. In the individual championship: young men - Vladimir Yushchenko 4th stage of the Civil Defence and Aleksey Pododlozhnyuk - 3rd stage – from Phoenix sports school, girls - Daria Lavrova from Temp sports school and Sofia Antsiferova from "Athletic Gymnastics" sports school.

Now Artem is actively working to develop physical culture, sports and healthy lifestyles.
