In the Primorye College of Arts takes place the 12th “Young Musician” competition

Spring holidays for schoolchildren is  time of creative competitions. The Regional Competition "Young Musician" started at the Primorsky College of Arts. The first performers are folk instruments. This year a record number of accordionists and guitarists arrived in Vladivostok.

In the last week of March, the College of Art working very hard.

In the corridors a lot of musicians with bayans, accordions, guitars, balalaikas, domra. Rehearse in every audience. The competition came the guys from all over Primorye, Khabarovsk and the Amur region.

Erofei Pavlovich is the famous pioneer, he arrived from Khabarovsk.

At the age of 15 he is already the winner of many competitions. He said the key to success is not letting go of the guitar. For two years he has been playing in a duet with Alexandra, understanding each other without words.

On the stage are guests from Kavalerovo. This trio, two accordions and a button accordion are the best at school, teachers say. With anxiety and pride, they follow the performance of their students. Children are invited to concerts in neighboring villages, and a trip to Vladivostok is already a reward.

Young musicians prepared for this competition from the first of September. To get to a regional competition is to win the city and district ones. Ensembles are performing, soloists are preparing, orchestras sent their recordings to the video contest.

The coherence of performance is judged by a strict jury. And hardly kept from smiling, watching the game of the youngest. But after all, it is these little ones who give hope that the Russian folk instruments will continue to sound.
