Reconstruction of Vladivostok is strategically important tunnel the name of Stalin was nearing its finale. The last train passed through it on September 30, 2016. Maxim Kalenich, reporter: "Eight points out of ten possible — so appreciated the builders of the complexity of the reconstruction of the Vladivostok deep tunnel. It was opened in ' 35. For decades, it provided the operation of the entire fishing port, the fleet oil depot and the largest Vladivostok CHPP-2. For 80 years, the tunnel reliably performed its function, but it was no longer possible to delay the repair of the strategic object for the city."

Global repair was planned to start in 2008, But a year before the start Vladivostok was declared the capital of the APEC-2012 Summit. Reconstruction again had to be transferred-the tunnel provided transportation of strategically important loads of large-scale buildings. Another four years of complex training, and in the fall of ' 16-th here came metrostroevtsy. Two years later, the most difficult work to save the tunnel, they reached the finish line.

Yuri Prokaev, head of Mosmetrostroy division: "we are on schedule, we have no doubts. The main scope of work is performed and drainage, and the lining of the working layer of the tunnel, sprayed waterproofing, almost 100% done."

It remains to pave a new undocked way — railwaymen call it velvet-and return the contact network. After that, you can forget about the difficult work in the tunnel for many years.
