For comparison, six years ago, only 12% of respondents "voted" for this profession. In second place, according to the preferences of Russians, the profession of a teacher (16%), in third place - lawyers with a share of 14%.

Specialties from the field of IT were only in fourth place. They are chosen by 12% of respondents, in fifth place are working professions (11%). The ten most popular were also military personnel, economists and engineers.

The most profitable respondents named the legal profession. So says 15%. Another 13% are confident that the maximum profit can be extracted in the political arena. Almost as many respondents believe that you can make good money as an oilman or doctor. Further, according to the degree of profitability, in the opinion of Russians, there are entrepreneurs, bankers, civil servants, programmers, military personnel, workers and managers.

Interestingly, when choosing a profession, more than a quarter of Russians pay the most attention not to profitability, but to interest. 28% answered that their choice was influenced by hobbies. Slightly fewer Russians (23%) explained that they did not choose a profession at all, but simply “circumstances”. Every sixth respondent said that he paid attention to the prospect of growth, and every tenth responded that he followed family traditions.
