Alexander Lukashenko called the governor of Primorye a great friend of Belarus. Today the President of the Republic personally met with Oleg Kozhemiako at the Palace of Independence in Minsk. The president of Belarus and the governor of the region have a long-standing relationship, dating back to the time when Oleg Kozhemiako was the governor of the Amur region and Sakhalin, and now Primorye. Only six months have passed since the last meeting, the results of which the two sides summed up today in Minsk.

They also discussed further development prospects. Today Belarus has all the possibilities to supply not only food but also engineering products to Primorye.

Also the first industrial fruit garden will soon appear in Primorye. The agreement was reached with the Minister of Agriculture and Food of Belarus Ivan Krupko. Cultural ties are also of great importance for the two parts. In late September, Vladivostok will host a «Belarus in Primorye» festival. And in June, Primorye’s Gorky Theater will be on tour in Belarus.
