Someone wearing a VR helmet already mastered on a distant planet, and someone plunges into the Mariana trench. Such three-dimensional models, with recognition of objects in real time, will be useful to sailors, pilots and astronauts.

Alexei Yakovlev, member of the Olympiad STI from the city of Veliky Novgorod: "it is talking about the VR-technology, a way of training professional personnel. They allow you to experience some role and at the same time not to experience risks".

The most mysterious section of the Olympiad is Neurotechnology. Here-a real brainstorm for experts in physiology, physics, computer science. The sensors that transmit brain activity indicators to the computer are tested by students. Such a system, they say, will soon be embedded in the usual cap and recommend it to motorists. The device quickly recognizes the first signs of falling asleep at the wheel and wakes the driver, preventing an accident.

Adele Khasbiullin, member of the Olympiad STI from Kazan: "In my view, need to submit the driver with a loud beep or smooth impulse to cheer him up!»

The NTI Olympiad is the first team engineering competition for young people in Russia. It takes place in 19 directions and attracts thousands of students from all regions of the country. The final of the competition is held at the sites of leading Russian universities to find future talented inventors and designers.
