Dalnerechensk is the administrative center of the Dalnerechensky district in the north of Primorye. One of the oldest settlements. The exact date of foundation is not known. In the summer of 1859, a small Cossack settlement arose on the bank of the river on the orders of Count Muravyov-Amursky. In his honor the village was called Grafskaya. Already in 1897 the settlement is called Iman - by the name of the river on the bank of which it stands. After 20 years, Iman becomes a city. In 1972, this name disappears from all maps of the country and a new one appears - Dalnerechensk. Here there are three rivers at once: Malinovka, Ussuri and Bolshaya Ussurka. This is reflected in the official coat of arms of the city - three blue lines. Above the lines is a golden eagle - the bird personifies the borderline features of the city and the inviolability of the state border.
