Marathon swim "Amur Bay - 2018" will be held in Vladivostok

June 29-30 in Vladivostok will be the international annual marathon swim "Amur Bay - 2018", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Primorsky Krai.

As reported by "Vesti: Primorye" with reference to the Tourist portal of the region, the upcoming marathon will be the sixth in the swim, annually held in Vladivostok from 2013. The international name of the swim is Amur Bay Swim. The distance passes along the water area of the Amur Bay, in a straight line from Cape Peschany to Cape Burny (water station of the Pacific Fleet in the center of Vladivostok).

The safety of the participants is provided by the employees of the GIMS EMERCOM of Russia in Primorsky Krai. For the duration of the marathon swim, there is a complete stop and prohibition of the movement of any foreign swimming equipment in the adjacent water area. To ensure the safety of participants involved about 25 boats. The swim line is marked with high orange flags, mounted on anchors, every 300 meters. Each participant is given a personal bright orange marker buoy. Throughout the distance swimmers are under supervision, for them food and drinking water are provided.
