The idea of creating a center for the slowing down of aging in Primorye was announced at the meeting of the vice-governor of the region Pavel Serebryakov with the chief doctor of the clinic at the First Harbin Medical University Shao Fenglin. The opening of the similar institution in Primorye is favored by the local climate - excellent landscapes and the marine environment, - Mr. Shao Fenglin believes.
Shao Fenglin stressed that the medical university already has a successful experience of creating such a center in the south of China - in Sanya. All the available developments and technologies can be used in the framework of the joint project of Russia and China.
It should be noted that the First Harbin Medical University has been cooperating with the Pacific State Medical University for about 10 years. The universities connect bilateral international programs of academic mobility of students and teachers, as well as research programs in the field of preventive medicine, clinical medicine, basic medical sciences, biology and pharmaceutics.
