Many locals have a very unusual tradition - go fishing early in the morning on January 1st. This hobby can only be hindered by the weather. "Vesti: Primorye" supports this tradition, and for several years in a row our crew goes on ice on the first day of the new year.

Vladivostok fishermen are divided into two camps and, based on their own conclusions and head for the place where they think the bite should be better. Some of them go on ice of the Amur Bay, to Okeanskaya, others - to Russky Island.
