919 030 residents of Primorye have already been vaccinated. The vaccination stays the only sure and sage method of COVID-19 protection.
According to Vesti: Primorye," citing the press service of the regional government, experts are predicting a rise in the incidence of COVID-19 due to the omicron strain in Russia by the end of January.
"I think it will be a very serious level by the end of January, in February, because this strain has already entered the country," said Petr Chumakov, a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences and head of the cell proliferation laboratory at the Institute of Molecular Biology.
In Primorye, according to the territorial department of Rospotrebnadzor, the omicron strain has not been detected yet. However, the region is preparing for a new wave.
On January 13th 251 new coronavirus cases are confirmed in Primorye.
