Three cat species were recorded on one trail in the « Land of the Leopard ».
The Far Eastern forest cat, the Far Eastern leopard and the Amur tiger family were caught by the same camera trap in the « Land of the Leopard » national park in Primorye.
Long-term monitoring shows that equilibrium has been reached and all representatives of the feline family get along in the national park and even use common trails. At the same time, scientists reliably know that tiger population growth does not affect the well-being of the Far Eastern leopard, whose population is also growing.
In total, the national park counts 110 Far Eastern leopards and 41 Amur tigers.
