The WHO recommended to prepare for the increase of restrictive measures because of Omicron, the new coronavirus variant.
"Given the risk assessment, epidemiological situation, response capacity, level of vaccination...and the uncertainty associated with the rapidly evolving situation with the Omicron variant, countries should be prepared to strengthen social and sanitary measures in a timely manner to avoid excessive requests for health services," the organisation said in its report.
According to the Telegram-channel of Primorye’s government 461 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the region. In total the region counts 88 016 cases.
109 people have recovered from coronavirus since yesterday in Primorye. In total, the region counts 75 465 recovery cases.
Since yesterday three more people have passed away from coronavirus. In total the region counts 1400 lethal cases.
As for today, 789 296 people have been vaccinated in Primorye.
