Russians have become less responsible about following mask regime and other preventive measures against coronavirus, which may be the reason why the decrease in COVID-19 cases number has stopped. This is the opinion of Natalia Pshenichnaya, Deputy Director for Clinical and Analytical Work of the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor.
The number of new cases of coronavirus detected in Russia per day does not exceed 10 thousand since March 14, the incidence varies between 8 and 9 thousand.
"Now our citizens have become less responsible about following the mask regime and other precautionary measures in public transport, shopping centers and offices. Perhaps, this is the reason why incidence figures are now frozen within the same range and do not want to go down," Pshenichnaya said.
