Specialists of the Sikhote-Alin Nature Reserve carried out an operation to save a deer.
According to the Instagram page irecommend_vdk, the animal could not walk because the area was covered with ice.
Spring has already arrived, but there is still a lot of snow in the Sikhote-Alin Mountains after this year's harsh winter. Large differences in day and night temperatures contribute to the formation of ice, making the snow cover difficult to step on. It is especially difficult for ungulates in such a period. One of the snowmobile teams found a collapsed deer lying on the ice, exhausted. The animal could neither get up, nor crawl down to the snow where it could stand on its feet steadily. The reserve staff rushed to help the poor fellow.
