Biologists from Prymorye create hybrids of tropical plants in laboratories. To obtain new varieties of orchids, scientists clone them in sterile boxes and maintain the fragile culture for years to surprise citizens with the vibrant fruits of breeding.

Orchid fruit seeds are placed in a special nutrient environment and, after careful care, a plant culture is obtained. It is maintained in the laboratory for several years before the new tropical resident is moved to the greenhouse. In more than half a century of work at the Botanical Garden, scientists have built a collection of 300 varieties and species of orchids.
