The 16th Congress of the "United Russia" party was held in Moscow on previous weekend. There were more than three thousand guests and participants of the Congress that came from across the country: regional party secretaries, deputies, ministers, experts, representatives of the media. Delegation of Primorsky region consisted of 17 people. In addition, the Congress was attended by deputies of the United Russia party, which are representing Primorsky region in the Russian parliament. The two-day Conference opened with a discussion of a number of state  important issues.

The election of the party Chairman became the key moment of the second day of the Congress. The delegates unanimously voted for Dmitry Medvedev, who has been holding this post since 2012.
