A special department for ethnic minorities of Primorye was created in the region. Representatives of Moldavian, Tatar, Ukrainian and Belorussian diasporas take part in the political life of the region in order to have a balanced representation of all of the minorities of Primorye.  

Besides the representation the department also fights for equal rights and socio-economical stability of the citizens of ethnic settlements.
