The history of Primorye’s television starts with its creators - Victor Nazarenko and Aleksey Kvach,
In 1952 Victor Nazarenko was drafted to the army in Chernigovka. Using details of the old radio locators he created his first working model of a TV transmitter. The first TV program took place in Vladivostok in 1953. The transmitter was located on Tigrovaya hill. During the first TV seance, TV journal «The Far East» was presented to the public. But it took almost three years for the transmitter to reach houses of regular citizens.
On July 28, 1965, from 11 am to 8 pm, the first TV program was transmitted in one of the city’s cinemas for the public.
The first TV programs were created with the films that were borrowed from the cinema.
