Resident of Primorsky region, Anastasia Prudkina is recognized as the best young Russian animator. Twelve-years-old schoolgirl became the winner of the "Drawing cartoons" competition, arranged by "Generation M" Russian creativity charity project. The girl has got an opportunity to undergo a series of master classes in "The Mill" Children's Film Animation Studio in St. Petersburg.
Anastasia had to go through a serious competition: thousands of children from different regions of Russia have been participating in this competition, all the participants uploaded their cartoons to the project’s site. According to the competition terms, participants had to create an animated character or a scene from the cartoon. Nastya recreated fairily-snowy world, which was to site visitors’ liking.
According to information from competition organizers, Anastasia has got an opportunity to go to St. Petersburg’s “The Mill” animation studio as the main prize, there she personally met with Constantine Bronzit, creator of many famous Russian cartoons. As a winner, she got a chance to see the working process of animation studio from inside. She saw with her own eyes how the characters are been drawn and how the drawings are being converted into 3D-characters. She also got some tips and master classes from masters of animation that shared professional secrets with her.
As was noted by Department of Education and Science of Primorsky region, in recent years animation attracts more and more young residents of the region.
As experts say, at present there are about 20 Animation Studious in Primorsky region and this direction of additional education is gaining popularity in recent years. Now children are interested in not only watching cartoons, but also in the process of cartoons’ creation.
